Bernadett Bagyinka was born in the capital city of Hungary, Budapest. Whilst travelling she developed an interest and passion for African culture. Her work deals with African art with a deep emphasis on its diverse cultural background, heritage and rich art life. After graduating from the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts with an MA diploma in Visual Education. She became a member of a number of African organisations  such as the Hungarian - African Society and The South-African – Hungary Organisation. She studied African Tribal art, were she specialised on the Yoruba ethnic group of Southern Nigeria.

 

Her portfolio is inspired by the beauty of the African people, the African motifs, colours, traditional and spiritual symbols. She uses the historical secessionism style to capture and transform this beauty into her work. In the future she would like to further deepen her knowledge on African culture with the aim to transfer the Strength, Beauty and unbelievable richness of the continent.
